Rock on the Green

Rock on the Green

The Black Rock Primary School community were out in full force on Sunday 16th November to celebrate the inaugural 'Rock on the Green' festival.

The purpose of the event was to bring the school community together, but also showcase the amazing musical talent that Black Rock Primary School nurtures through its musical program run by teachers and parent volunteers. Highlights of the day included performances by Ringo (Sam Clarke) from ‘Neighbours’, up and coming punk rockers ‘Front Counter’, iconic rocker Phil Para, and teacher Simon Trist with his band ‘The Night Monkeys’. The Black Rockers Kid’s Band were also highly entertaining and indicated they just may be buddy stars of the future?

The day was a huge success, with families enjoying picnic food and drinks. Both adults and children enjoyed a dance and even a kick of the footy against the backdrop of trees, guitars, vocals and rockin’ beats!
