Community Events and Fundraising

Black Rock has always been able to raise funds to improve our school and programs through a vibrant core group of parents who work very hard towards the many fundraisers we have over the year. This year we have planned:

•  Family Welcome Picnic and Disco on the oval and in the stadium. A fun day had by all in February.
•  Easter raffle and parade – lots of fun had by all!
•  Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day stalls for the children to buy little gifts that they choose themselves for their parents.
•  School Drive-In Movie Night. Zootopia was run for all the families in April – great night had by all.
•  Parent Social – 80’s Prom Night. Saturday 30th July.
•  School Fair – Mid October.
•  Camp Out – date to be confirmed.

This year fundraising will be focused on supporting our literacy/reading programmes, maths website and equipment, additional interactive whiteboards for our new classrooms, shade sails for the outdoor space and commencing our Oval and Surrounds project (a multiple year project). Your support is paramount for the ongoing success of the school and we thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
