Welcome to our Year 5 Homepage! |
Steven Baker from the St. Kilda Football Club recently visited our
school to talk to Year 5 about healthy living and the importance of
education in our lives. Steven worked the students through some theory
before taking them outside for some skill work and a goal kicking
shootout.
Thomas Y from 5G was the winner of the student shootout and even beat Steven Baker in a nail-biting goal kicking finale! Thomas showed skill and poise under pressure. A future Saint perhaps?

Houses have gone missing,
Ash has taken its place.
People have been killed,
What has made it this way?
The air has become a lot thicker,
Red is coming for us.
We don't know what to do.

Burnt Out All Around
So many people have gone!
Never will they be seen again!
Houses disappeared into nothing but ash!
Only a chimney left
when I go outside.
A cold grey feeling comes upon me.
It's like there's no happiness left.
The sky is greyer than ever -
Everything smells like smoke.
My eyes fill with water
It's like fire is burning right next to me.
It's a scorcher for everyone-
And the worst part is -
There's nothing I can do

Houses are burnt,
People are dead,
Nothing is left.
Water in your eyes,
Hoping for the best.
Red flames in the distance,
Black smoke in the air,
Fire engines everywhere.
Nothing is left
It's a ghost town
Silent and scary.
Lives were lost
Everywhere here.
