Based on an original story by Sophie L Gr 6 Synopsis Black Rock shops are currently being purchased by a local developer I.M.Greedy with offers too good to refuse. Unbeknown to locals and shop owners, once he owns all the shops he is able to have the area rezoned without objection. Once rezoned he will lease the land for 20,000 years to a Nuclear Power Plant making him wealthy beyond belief. He has only to buy a few remaining shops when a group of local school kids accidentally travel into the future, where they learn of Black Rock’s fate from an aging local. Eager to undo Greedy’s evil plans the kids return desperate to convince the remaining shop owners, one by one, not to sell. Just when they think their job is done they are captured by Greedy and learn he does not need every shop, provided he can still convince VCAT to rezone at the meeting tonight. He ties them up and heads off to the rezoning meeting to fulfill his evil plan. All is lost. Can the students save Black Rock?.....Will a cooling tower replace our Black Rock clock tower?........Come and see our talented students perform a theatrical experience of atomic proportions. |
