Juilie
Luiten,
Principal
My name is Julie Luiten.
I have been Principal of Black Rock Primary School for 5 years. I
passionately believe that every child has the right to develop at his or
her own rate. Because of this belief I have introduced Individual Learning
Improvement Plans for each student, the Selected Entry
for Accelerated Learning program for Year 3 and 4 students,
Parallel Learning in Years 5 and 6, the Language Support Program and
Maths Intervention. Black Rock is a high performing school with dedicated
and talented staff who are supported by an
enthusiastic school community – all working together for the one
goal of improving student outcomes.

Michele Backholer
Leading Teacher
I’m Michele
Backholer and lucky enough to have been part of this wonderful school for
15 years. The children here are dedicated to learning, enthusiastic in
all tasks they undertake, polite, responsible and an absolute pleasure to
teach. At present I have a Year 5 class of all girls – and yes I
have to tell you – parallel education is brilliant! Our studies
over the years convince us that boys and girls do learn differently and
at this school we strive to teach to those differences.
